Second Stage Round 8: Ksiezak Lowicz - Notec 70-81

The game between Top Four teams took place in Lowicz. 3rd ranked host Ksiezak Lowicz (10-6) lost to first ranked Notec (14-2) 81-70. It looked good early as Ksiezak Lowicz took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Notec had a 25-14 second period charge getting the lead and Ksiezak Lowicz was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-81. Notec made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ksiezak Lowicz 44-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Ksiezak Lowicz was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Four Notec players scored in double figures. Notec's coach Jacek Stajszczak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 8 assists by point guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) did not help to save the game for Ksiezak Lowicz. Forward Bartlomiej Bartoszewicz (199-92) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Notec have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group E with 14-2 record. Ksiezak Lowicz at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Notec will play against league's second-placed Gimbasket Przemysl at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ksiezak Lowicz will play against Asseco II in Gdynia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
