The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Maccabi T-A (23-4) in Rishon Le-Zion on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Maccabi Rishon (15-12) 105-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi T-A. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 105-85. Maccabi Rishon's coach Sharon Drucker used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized American swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and international Jake Cohen (209-90, college: Davidson) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi T-A. Five Maccabi Rishon and four Maccabi T-A players scored in double figures. Maccabi Rishon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 15-12 record having eight points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Defending champion Maccabi T-A still keeps top position with four games lost. Maccabi Rishon are looking forward to face league's second-placed Hapoel Jerusalem on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Maccabi T-A will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona and is hoping to win this game.
