Treviglio (#3) forced the game against Recanati (#2) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 94-101 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Treviglio. They outrebounded Treviglio 43-31 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Recanati looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American center William Mosley (202-89, college: Northwestern St.) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. His fellow American import guard Isaiah Sykes (198-91, college: Cent.Florida) chipped in 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Tommaso Carnovali (197-93) produced 25 points and 4 steals and the former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Recanati (19-10) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place behind leader Treviso Basket. Treviglio at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Recanati will face Scafati (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Treviglio will play against Piacentina and hope to win that game.
