An interesting game for Real Madrid (23-5) which hosted in Madrid one of their biggest challengers Regal FC Barcelona (19-9). Second ranked Real Madrid managed to get a 13-point victory 91-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Regal FC Barcelona. Real Madrid had a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Real Madrid especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Azerbaijani guard Jaycee Carroll (188-83) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. The former international point guard Sergio Rodriguez (191-86) contributed with 13 points and 9 assists for the winners. Five Real Madrid players scored in double figures. Croatian center Ante Tomic (217-87, agency: XL Basketball Agency) replied with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech point guard Tomas Satoransky (201-91) added 10 points in the effort for Regal FC Barcelona. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Madrid have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-5 record behind leader Unicaja. Defending champion Regal FC Barcelona keeps the third place with nine games lost. Real Madrid are looking forward to face league's leader Unicaja Malaga on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Regal FC Barcelona will play against Blusens Monbus and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
