Very expected game in Castellanza where 13th ranked Legnano (11-18) was defeated by fifth ranked Naturhouse Ferrara (18-10) 84-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Naturhouse Ferrara. Legnano was better in fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Legnano outrebounded Naturhouse Ferrara 42-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. Legnano was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard Kenny Hasbrouck (191-86, college: Siena) who scored 21 points. Forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88) chipped in 19 points. American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (201-88, college: Georgia St.) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and forward Marco Arrigoni (198-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 11 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturhouse Ferrara have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Legnano lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Naturhouse Ferrara will face Latina Basket (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Legnano will play against Roseto and hope to win that game.
