Regular Season Round 26: Elitzur Ramla - Netanya 88-91

Fourteenth-ranked Elitzur Ramla (2-24) gave a tough game to fifth ranked GreenTops Netanya (16-10). The visitors from Netanya managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected much easier game. Elitzur Ramla was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 47-43 second half run of GreenTops Netanya. They shot 62.5 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Brandon Brown (199-85, college: CS San Bernar.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field). Guard Paul Marigney (192-82, college: St.Mary's, CA) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four GreenTops Netanya players scored in double figures. GreenTops Netanya's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Billy White (203-89, college: San Diego St.) replied with 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and guard Anthony Fisher (191-86) added 21 points in the effort for Elitzur Ramla. GreenTops Netanya maintains fifth position with 16-10 record. Elitzur Ramla lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games.
