Regular Season Round 28: Nancy - Strasbourg 65-78

An interesting game for Strasbourg IG (24-4) which played road game in Nancy against 4th ranked Sluc Nancy (16-12). First ranked Strasbourg IG managed to get a 13-point victory 78-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sluc Nancy. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Strasbourg IG's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-14 extending their advantage to 13 points. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Antoine Diot (193-89, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 9 assists. International swingman Axel Toupane (197-92, agency: Comsport) contributed with 8 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, agency: Comsport) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Florent Pietrus (202-81) added 4 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Sluc Nancy. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Strasbourg IG maintains first position with 24-4 record. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with ASVEL and Le Havre. Strasbourg IG are looking forward to face Gravelines-Dunkerque (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sluc Nancy will play against JDA Dijon (#7) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
