Everything could happen in Rijeka at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Cedevita and 4th placed Kvarner had identical 3-1 record. But Kvarner was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Zagreb 87-75 on Tuesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Cedevita. Kvarner was better in fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cedevita dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kvarner's 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International center Miro Bilan (213-89) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and power forward Marko Arapovic (207-96) chipped in 13 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Dino Cinac (201-88, agency: Court Side) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and center Marijan Cakarun (204-90) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion (4-1) moved-up to second place in Places 1-8. Loser Kvarner keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Cedevita will face Alkar Sinj (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kvarner will play against the league's leader Cibona (#1) in Zagreb and hope to win that game.
