Regular Season Round 28: Wikana-Start - Asseco 72-64

Bottom-ranked Wikana Start managed to get a eighth victory, breaking the three-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Wikana Start won against seventh-ranked Asseco in Lublin 72-64. Asseco was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Asseco 47-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Asseco was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Bryon Allen (190-92, college: George Mason) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Robert Lewandowski (208-89, college: Texas Tech) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Piotr Szczotka (196-81, agency: Alti Sport) scored 5 points and 13 rebounds. Wikana Start (8-20) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Wilki Morskie. Asseco at the other side keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Wikana Start will play against Wilki Morskie (#13) in Szczecin in the next round. Asseco will play at home against MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
