Semi-Finals Game 2: Budivelnyk - Dnipro 72-80

Dnipro wasted a double-digit lead midway through the clash but managed to recover and snatched a tough road victory over Budivelnyk to even the series at 1-1. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-7. But Budivelnyk won second period 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Dnipro won last quarter 26-20. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Budivelnyk to just 7 points in first quarter. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Swingman Pavel Revzin (194-83) notched 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and international Olexandr Mishula (192-92) supported him with 21 points. Even 23 points and 5 assists by naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (215-84) did not help to save the game for Budivelnyk. The former international point guard Denys Lukashov (190-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 20 points for the hosts. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
