Rather expected game in Barquisimeto where 5th ranked Trotamundos (15-11) were defeated by third ranked Guaros (20-8) 94-86 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 49-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Guaros shot 61.5 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Guaros especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) who scored 22 points. International center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton) chipped in 14 points. Five Guaros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jesus Martinez (204-86) who recorded 28 points and the former international point guard David Cubillan (181-87, college: Marquette) added 23 points respectively.
