Semi-Finals Game 2: Khimik - BC Kyiv 77-56

Khimik beat BC Kyiv at home court and grabbed 2-0 lead in the semifinal series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-56. Khimik dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Kyiv to just 5 points in second quarter. They outrebounded BC Kyiv 51-26 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. International power forward Maxym Korniyenko (204-87, agency: Beo Basket) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Oleksandr Ryabchuk (189-89) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Khimik's coach Karlis Muiznieks felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Vyacheslav Bobrov (201-92) scored 18 points.
