An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in La Roche. Second ranked Roche faced 3rd placed Dunkerque. Host Roche (21-4) smashed guests from Dunkerque (18-7) 82-53. The game without a history. Roche led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkerque's 22. They outrebounded Dunkerque 41-24 including 30 on the defensive glass. Roche looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Dunkerque's players. Guard Johana Tayeau (173-89) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Slovakian guard Gabriela Kubatova (171-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Roche players scored in double figures. Roche's coach Emmanuel Body felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Dace Pierre-Joseph (187-81) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Keisha Hampton (187-90, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Roche have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-4 record behind leader Nice. Dunkerque at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Roche are looking forward to face league's leader Nice on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dunkerque will play against Avenir in Chartres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
