The game in Rodou was quite interesting. 6th ranked AGOR (12-11) played at the court of seventh ranked Kolossos (12-11). Kolossos defeated AGOR 77-63 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AGOR. The game was mostly controlled by Kolossos. AGOR managed to win fourth quarter 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kolossos made 9 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Dominic Waters (185-86, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Jamelle Hagins (206-90, college: Delaware) helped adding 10 points and 6 rebounds. American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Dutch power forward Roeland Schaftenaar (211-88, college: Oregon St.) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kolossos moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated AGOR. Kolossos is looking forward to face KAOD (#8) in Dramas in the next round. AGOR will play at home against AEK Athens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
