Ginasio upset Benfica B away from home for the opening victory in the series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Benfica B won third quarter 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ginasio made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Benfica B helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
