The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Yokohama BC's (16-34) road victory over 11th ranked Saitama Broncos (6-44) 108-74 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Yokohama BC made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Yokohama BC outrebounded Saitama Broncos 40-23 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 28 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Gary Johnson (198-91, college: Albany) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Yuki Nobuhira (190-87) scored 12 points. Five Yokohama BC and four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Yokohama BC moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Takamatsu FA. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the eleventh position with 44 games lost. Yokohama BC will meet at home Tokyo Cinq R. (#12) in the next round. Saitama Broncos will play against the league's second-placed Akita Happinets and will have a slim chance for a victory.
