Semi-Finals Game 4: Dnipro - Budivelnyk 75-74 OT

Dnipro survived an overtime thriller and tamed Budivelnyk for a vital second win in the semifinal series. The teams are coming back to Kyiv for the decisive fifth game scheduled for Friday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Budivelnyk won third quarter 20-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Budivelnyk used huge pressure winning it 16-14 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 3-4. Dnipro forced 26 Budivelnyk turnovers and outrebounded them 109-97 including 42 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists. Budivelnyk was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international Olexandr Mishula (192-92) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 assists and international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) who added 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (215-84) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Denys Lukashov (190-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
