The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked AZS PGd's (7-9) home victory over 9th ranked Wisla Krakow (2-13) 111-60 on Wednesday. The game without a history. AZS PGd led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wisla Krakow's 26. They outrebounded Wisla Krakow 56-24 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. AZS PGd looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Wisla Krakow's players. The best player for the winners was point guard Adam Brenk (193-95) who had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. Mateusz Stawiak (202-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. AZS PGd's coach Marek Iglinski felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Szymon Czepiec (197-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kamil Kolber (191-96) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five AZS PGd and four Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for AZS PGd. They moved-up to seventh place in Group E, which they share with AZS UMCS. Wisla Krakow lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. AZS PGd will face AZS UMCS (#7) in Lublin in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play on the road against Trefl II Sopot and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
