Regular Season Round 15: Qazvin - Azad 51-71

Leader Azad delivered the twelfth victory on Thursday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Qazvin (1-11) 71-51. The game was mostly controlled by Azad. Qazvin managed to win fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for international Rasoul Mozaffari (188-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points. International Mohammad Hassanzadeh (203-90) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Azad players scored in double figures. Azad's coach Mehran Shahintab used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Ghobad Dori (204-89) with 18 points and 8 rebounds and international Reza Ranjbar produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Azad (12-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Qazvin lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Azad will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Qazvin will play against Mahram (#3) and hope to win that game.
