There was no surprise in Tokyo where 6th ranked Kumamoto V. (6-45) was outplayed by fourth ranked Toyota Alvark (36-14) 90-47 on Friday. The game without a history. Toyota Alvark led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Kumamoto V.'s 32. Toyota Alvark forced 20 Kumamoto V. turnovers and outrebounded them 48-32 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Toyota Alvark made 10 blocks. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Keijuro Matsui (188-85, college: Columbia) chipped in 18 points during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Ryota Nakanishi (199-88) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 36-14 record. Kumamoto V. lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with 45 games lost.
