CREF Hola smashed Dist.Olimpico in Madrid 80-45. The game was mostly controlled by CREF Hola. Dist.Olimpico was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Dist.Olimpico to just 5 points in third quarter. CREF Hola forced 19 Dist.Olimpico turnovers and outrebounded them 39-22 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Portuguese guard Maria Correia (173-91) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Jamaican center Tajay Ashmeade (190-89, college: Seton Hall, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Ines Perezpaya (185-91) responded with 13 points and Celia Menendez (186-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 9 points. Dist.Olimpico's coach Juan Ruiz gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dist.Olimpico will play next round against strong Maquinaria Ensino trying to get back on the winning streak. CREF Hola will try to continue on its current victory against Arxil Pontevedra on the road.
