Regular Season Round 30: Le Havre - Bourg 77-76
Date: April 24, 2015
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked STB Le Havre (18-12) edged at home 17th ranked JL Bourg (7-23) 77-76 on Friday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-76. The best player for the winners was American-Dominican Ricardo Greer (196-77, college: Pittsburgh) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Venezuelan guard John Cox (194-81, college: USF) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Steven Smith (203-83, college: La Salle) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Jordan Theodore (182-89, college: Seton Hall) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. STB Le Havre have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Nancy. Newly promoted JL Bourg keeps the seventeenth position with 23 games lost. STB Le Havre will face Sluc Nancy (#4) on the road in the next round. JL Bourg will play against Cholet Basket (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
