Ginasio overcame Benfica to advance into the semifinal stage. Benfica B trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 28-21 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 62-71 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Jose Costa (187-73) who scored 23 points and 5 steals. Point guard Pedro Marques (183-93) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Slovenian guard Aljaz Slutej (188-96) produced 17 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and power forward Andre Mendes (198) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Benfica B's coach Goran Nogic rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
