The game between Top Four teams took place in Kanagawa. Third ranked host Toshiba Thunders (38-13) defeated one of their biggest challengers Hyogo S. (17-33) 92-83. Worth to mention a great performance of Yuma Fujii (-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. The former international swingman Naoto Tsuji (185-89) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Toshiba Thunders' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and his fellow American import swingman William Knight (196-79, college: UCLA) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Hyogo S.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 38-13 record having five points less than leader Hitachi SR. Hyogo S. at the other side keeps the fourth place with 33 games lost. Toshiba Thunders' next round opponent will be Toyota Alvark (#4) in Tokyo. Hyogo S. will play on the road against Wakayama T. and hope to win that game.
