Regular Season Round 30: Orleans - Limoges 91-85

There was an upset when higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (20-10) was defeated on the road by sixteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (9-21) 91-85 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Limoges CSP Elite won third quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Entente Orleans 45 shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 58.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Darnell Harris (183-86, college: La Salle) who scored 31 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). The other American import swingman David Noel (199-84, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Adrien Moerman (203-88) who recorded 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and Brazilian power forward Joao Paulo Batista (205-81, college: Gonzaga) added 14 points respectively. Four Entente Orleans 45 and five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. Limoges CSP Elite's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Entente Orleans 45 maintains sixteenth position with 9-21 record. Defending champion Limoges CSP Elite keeps the third place with ten games lost. Entente Orleans 45 will face league's leader Strasbourg IG on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Le Mans and hope to win that game.
