Very important is a road loss of second ranked Limburg United (16-12) against sixth ranked Okapi Aalstar (15-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Limburg United was crushed by Okapi Aalstar in Aalst 112-79. The game without a history. Okapi Aalstar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Limburg United's 36. Okapi Aalstar had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Nick Celis (196-88) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American Devin Oliver (201-92, college: Dayton) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Limburg United. Five Okapi Aalstar and four Limburg United players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Okapi Aalstar moved-up to fifth place in League. Newly promoted Limburg United dropped to the third position with 12 games lost. Okapi Aalstar will play against Antwerp Giants (#6) on the road in the next round. Limburg United will play against Spirou Charleroi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
