Regular Season Round 30: Castello - CB Tarragona 84-60

Very predictable result when second ranked Castello (22-6) rolled over 10th ranked CB Tarragona 2017 (12-16) in Castellon 84-60. The game was mostly controlled by Castello. CB Tarragona 2017 was better in second period 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Castello players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by CB Tarragona 2017's players. The best player for the winners was American center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Jose Maria Garcia (193-87) chipped in 18 points. Worth to mention Washburn played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Antonio Hester (198-90, college: Mobile, AL, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Australian-Italian guard Ben Congiusta (188-89, college: Ft.Hays State) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Castello have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-6 record behind leader Caceres. CB Tarragona 2017 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted CB Tarragona 2017 keeps the tenth place with 16 games lost.
