Semi-Finals Game 2: Veilchen - Osnabruck 51-52

Date: April 25, 2015
Osnabruck eked out a tough road win over Veilchen and stayed alive in the semifinal series. It looked good early as Veilchen took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Osnabruck had a 18-8 second period charge getting the lead and Veilchen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 51-52. American point guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and forward Janina Wellers (180-88) supported her with 11 points and 5 rebounds. Four Osnabruck players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Nicole Jones (188-89, college: Drexel) did not help to save the game for Veilchen. Her fellow American import guard Monique Smalls (168-91, college: Texas Tech) added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game.
