Very predictable result in Reggio Emilia where third ranked Trenkwalder RE (20-8) beat 8th ranked AV Cantu (13-15) 86-74. AV Cantu was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 47-34 second half run of Trenkwalder RE. They outrebounded AV Cantu 44-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a very good performance for international point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. American guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Trenkwalder RE players scored in double figures. Trenkwalder RE maintains third position with 20-8 record having four points less than leader EA7 Armani. AV Cantu at the other side keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Trenkwalder RE will play against Juvecaserta (#15) in Caserta in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
