Zepter Vienna rallied past Arkadia to open 1-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-22 Arkadia Lions' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 90-83 at the end of the game. American forward Amin Stevens (201-90, college: Florida A&M) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winning side and the former international Jason Detrick (195-80, college: Oklahoma, agency: Three Eye Sports) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Arkadia Lions in the defeat. Four Zepter Vienna and five Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. Arkadia Lions' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
