Wasserburg overcame Saarlouis in overtime and grabbed 2-0 lead in the Finals. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But TV Saarlouis Royals won second period 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where TV Saarlouis Royals used huge pressure winning it 15-8 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 9-17. TSV 1880 Wasserburg forced 20 TV Saarlouis Royals turnovers. TV Saarlouis Royals were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch.
