Second Stage Round 12: Albino - Viterbo 49-50

The most exciting game of round 12 in the Serie A2 took place in Albino. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-best Albino (6-4) to fifth ranked Viterbo (5-5) 50-49 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 18-4 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Viterbo dominated on the defensive end, holding Albino to just 4 points in third quarter. They also forced 26 Albino turnovers. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian forward Roksana Yordanova (184-84) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Elisa Mancabelli (172-94) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Marta Scarsi (182-95) who recorded 9 points and 11 rebounds and guard Laura Fumagalli (178-85) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Albino's coach Nazareno Lombardi tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Viterbo maintains fifth position in A2 with 5-5 record. Newly promoted Albino dropped to the third place with four games lost.
