There was no surprise when 13th ranked Air Avellino (10-18) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Enel Brindisi (16-12) 81-67. Air Avellino was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 48-30 second half run of Enel Brindisi. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
