Quarter-Finals Round 2: Gussing - Oberwart 82-58
Date: April 28, 2015
Gussing fired past Oberwart to take 2-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Gussing Knights. Redwell Gunners Oberwart was better in fourth quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gussing Knights made 23-of-26 charity shots (88.5 percent) during the game. Redwell Gunners Oberwart was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Bulgarian Chavdar Kostov (195-88, agency: Interperformances) notched 17 points to lead the effort and American forward Marcus Heard (201-84, college: De Paul) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Heard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 20 points by Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Redwell Gunners Oberwart. American forward Gabe Knutson (206-91, college: Lehigh) added 11 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
