A1 top team - Cibona (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked KK Zabok (1-7) in Zagreb 96-62. The game without a history. Cibona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 63.2 percent from the field. Cibona outrebounded KK Zabok 44-28 including a 37-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Cibona especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Tomislav Gabric (204-95, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. Center Ivica Zubac (212-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Cibona players scored in double figures. Cibona's coach Slaven Rimac felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Filip Bundovic (205-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Marin Zrnic (201-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Cibona maintains first place in Places 1-8 with 9-0 record. Loser KK Zabok keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Cibona will meet GKK Sibenik (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. KK Zabok will play against Kvarner and hope to win that game.
