The game between Top Four teams took place in Nogales. 3rd ranked host Fuerza Guinda Nogales (8-8) lost to second ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (10-5) 88-78. The game without a history. Lobos UAD Mazatlan led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Brazilian point guard Larry Taylor (185-80, college: Missouri Western) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and the former international swingman Jorge Alfredo Casillas (196-90) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Lobos UAD Mazatlan players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Jeremy Green (196-90, college: Stanford) responded with 30 points and 8 rebounds and Paul Reyes scored 17 points. Newly promoted Lobos UAD Mazatlan maintains second position with 10-5 record having five points less than leader Guaymas. Fuerza Guinda Nogales lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Lobos UAD Mazatlan are looking forward to face league's leader Ostioneros de Guaymas at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fuerza Guinda Nogales will play against Garra Canera de Navolato and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
