Regular Season Round 48: Chiba Jets - Tsukuba R. 82-57

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Chiba Jets' (34-20) home victory over 6th ranked Tsukuba R. (6-48) 82-57 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Chiba Jets. Tsukuba R. was better in fourth quarter 22-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for international power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. American power forward Lamar Sanders (198-84, college: Lamar) replied with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 13 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tsukuba R.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chiba Jets maintains fifth position with 34-20 record which they share with defeated Tsukuba R. Tsukuba R. lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with 48 games lost.
