Second Stage Round 3: Trotamundos - Guaros 66-74

An interesting game for Guaros (3-0) which played road game in Valencia against Trotamundos (0-3). Guaros managed to get a 8-point victory 74-66. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-2. But Trotamundos won third quarter 23-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guaros dominated on the defensive end, holding Trotamundos to just 2 points in first quarter. It was an exceptional evening for international power forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Guaros players scored in double figures. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (208-81, college: Rutgers) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Jesus Martinez (204-86) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Trotamundos in the defeat. Trotamundos' coach Gustavo Aranzana rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Guaros will meet Guaiqueries in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trotamundos will play again against Guaros and look forward to get finally their first victory.
