NBL top team - Shaanxi W. (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Beijing (0-5) in Xian 115-88. The game was mostly controlled by Shaanxi W.. Beijing managed to win second period 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shaanxi W. forced 24 Beijing turnovers. The best player for the winners was center ChunJun Zhang (197-87) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Center Chen Wang (207-89) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Shaanxi W. players scored in double figures. Swingman Nan Zhao (195-84) produced 26 points and forward Han Qiaowen (195-91) added 19 points and 4 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shaanxi W. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Newly promoted Beijing still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Nanjin Army. Shaanxi W. will meet Lhasa (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Beijing will have a break next round.
