Liga DirecTV top team - Bucaros (6-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat tenth ranked Patriotas T. (0-6) in Tunja 92-86. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Patriotas T. won third quarter 27-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Patriotas T. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jordan Demercy (201-88, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard De'Sean Mattox (185, college: E.Oregon) with 21 points and 4 assists and naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Patriotas T.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bucaros have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Bucaros maintains first position with 6-0 record. Patriotas T. at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with UBC Muiscas. Bucaros will play against Patriotas (#3) in Boyaca in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Patriotas T. will have a break next round.
