Regular Season Round 12: Guayzhou - Lhasa 97-83

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Guayzhou (9-1) defeated at home 7th ranked Lhasa (2-9) 97-83. The game was mostly controlled by Guayzhou. Lhasa was better in fourth quarter 28-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lhasa was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American forward Tyler Wilkerson (203-88, college: Marshall) who scored that evening 28 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Delong Weng (195-87) supported him with 16 points. Even 14 points and 5 assists by guard Guo Yaoguang (185-94) did not help to save the game for Lhasa. Center DangJian Han (208-88) added 11 points and 7 rebounds. Five Lhasa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guayzhou have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Lhasa lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Guayzhou will play against Guangxi (#6) on the road in the next round. Lhasa will play against Beijing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
