Liga DirecTV top team - Bucaros (11-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Academia (5-6) in Montaa 93-85. The guests were already 16 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 28-20 Academia's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 93-85 at the end of the game. American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St.) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Jackson Michael supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Even 29 points and 8 rebounds by Puerto Rican-Dominican forward Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) did not help to save the game for Academia. The former international power forward Divier Perez (201-89) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Five Academia players scored in double figures. Bucaros have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Newly promoted Bucaros maintains first position with 11-0 record. Academia at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Bucaros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Academia will play again against the league's leader Bucaros (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
