Very important is a road loss of third ranked Astros (8-4) against fourth ranked Patriotas (8-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Astros were defeated by Patriotas in Boyaca 81-69. It looked good early as Astros took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Patriotas had a 22-17 second period charge getting the lead and Astros were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-81. Patriotas shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. His fellow American import Jereal Scott (203-89, college: SF Austin) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Sneed is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Patriotas players scored in double figures. American guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTRGV) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and international point guard Leonardo Salazar (175-93) added 15 points in the effort for Astros. Astros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Astros. Astros lost their third game in a row. Patriotas will play against league's second-placed Llaneros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Astros will play against the league's leader Bucaros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
