Regular Season Round 15: Aguilas - Piratas 98-92

An interesting game for Patriotas (10-6) which hosted in Boyaca 4th placed Piratas (10-6). Third ranked Patriotas managed to get a 6-point victory 98-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Piratas. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American guard Henry Uhegwu (191-82, college: S.Utah) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Eddy Barlow (185-81, college: Sam Houston St.) helped adding 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Givens (198-87, college: NC-Wesleyan) with 30 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valparaiso) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains third place with 10-6 record having six points less than leader Bucaros, which they share with defeated Piratas. Patriotas will play against bottom-ranked Patriotas (#10) in Tunja in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Piratas will have a break next round.
