The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Anhui as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Anhui defeated 7th ranked Lhasa at home 109-91. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 61-40 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Anhui forced 24 Lhasa turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Lhasa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard YongGang Zhang (198-88) fired 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) chipped in 21 points. Four Anhui players scored in double figures. Center DangJian Han (208-88) produced 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) and guard TuChun Shen (187-90) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anhui have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Guayzhou and Shaanxi W. Lhasa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. Lhasa will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Anhui will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Heilongjiang on the road.
