Liga DirecTV top team - Bucaros (16-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Once Caldas (6-10) in Manizales 86-82. Once Caldas were ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 43-34 second half run of Bucaros. They also forced 27 Once Caldas turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including a 19-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Once Caldas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Jordan Demercy (201-88, college: Georgetown, KY, agency: Blacktop Management) who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St.) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Bucaros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
