Regular Season Round 18: Lhasa - Heilongjiang 85-105

The game in Lhasa supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Heilongjiang (7-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Lhasa (4-12). Heilongjiang did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 105-85 on Friday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Heilongjiang dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Lhasa's 42. Heilongjiang forced 22 Lhasa turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. American swingman Marcus Williams (200-86, college: Arizona, agency: Interperformances) notched 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and center Pan Yue (203-91) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by forward Zhenjie Xu (198-89) did not help to save the game for Lhasa. Center DangJian Han (208-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Heilongjiang and four Lhasa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Heilongjiang maintains fifth position with 7-9 record. Lhasa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost.
