Regular Season Round 11: Limeira - Franca 93-80

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Winner/Limeira and 5th ranked Vivo/Franca had identical 3-5 record. This time Winner/Limeira used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sao Paulo 93-80 on Wednesday night. Winner/Limeira forced 20 Vivo/Franca turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard David Jackson (195-82, college: Penn St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. International point guard Deryk Ramos (185-94) helped adding 16 points and 5 assists. point guard Thiago Carneiro (191-91, college: Colorado NW CC) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Antonio Ferreira (178-94) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Winner/Limeira and four Vivo/Franca players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Winner/Limeira (4-5) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Pinheiros/Sky. Vivo/Franca lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Winner/Limeira will face Paschoalotto/Bauru (#5) on the road in the next round. Vivo/Franca will play against America and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
