Fifth ranked Astros (10-9) crushed at home 10th ranked Patriotas (1-17) by 25 points 86-61, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. The game without a history. Astros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Patriotas turnovers. International point guard Leonardo Salazar (175-93) fired 23 points and 6 steals for the winners. American forward Julius Allgood (203-84, college: UTRGV) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Astros players scored in double figures. Astros' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican Miguel Evangelista produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Luis Almanza (196-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Astros maintains fifth place with 10-9 record. Patriotas lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Astros will again meet at home bottom-ranked Patriotas (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Patriotas will have a break next round.
