Date: September 12, 2015
Leader Bucaros recorded the nineteenth victory. This time they beat 8th ranked Halcones (6-14) 89-73 in Cucuta. The game was mostly controlled by Bucaros. Halcones was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bucaros players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Halcones' players. The winners were led by the former international point guard Rodrigo Caicedo (180-88) who scored that evening 21 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St.) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds by Venezuelan forward Albert Arias (194-89) did not help to save the game for Halcones. Venezuelan power forward Jesus Martinez (204-86) added 20 points and 15 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Bucaros maintains first position with 19-1 record. Halcones lost sixth consecutive game.
